Hospitality has again a name: the "Weißes Ross" in Kulmbach offers a lot of comfort, pleasant surroundings, cosiness, good service and the individuality of a family managed three-stars-hotel.
Our hotel lies in the heart of the town - directly by the market place with its middle-age, picturesque ambience. The rokoko style town hall and the Plassenburg Castle with its unique museums (inter alia with the world's greates museum for tin figures) are right on the doorstep. Guildhall and train sation are a few minutes on foot away.
Despite the centrality in the pedestrian area of the town, our hotel is pleasantly quite and away from traffic. Our guests can arrive by car as loading is possible right in front of the entry-door and low-priced parking nearby is available.
Our hotel owns a long tradition and has been managed since March 1907 by the fifth generation of family Lauterbach.
"We want all our guests to have a complete comfortable stay with us!" says Mrs Vera Lauterbach with total conviction.
This dictum can be noticed all over the "Weiße Roß". You can live here customised. There are standard and superior rooms (also as an appartment) that offer enough room; families of four can have a comfortable and stress-free stay. Kingsize beds offer space for large guests: the size of the beds are then 2.25m x 1.45m.
The management is very child and pet-friendly. We do anything for your calm stay.
